MARK PRIOR SELECTED WORK : "PANORAMAS"
The Better Light Scanning Back (used on the back of a 5x4 View Camera) was bought for it's expressed purpose, the reproduction of art, but a Panoramic Adapter (computer controlled turntable) was available to go with it and there were photographers producing sensational results. Hats off to them because it is very challenging, both logistically and technically. However, I was happy enough with these five to release them as editions.
With an average of a 2 Gigabyte capture for a 180 degree panorama, I've enlarged "The Beaufort Range..." (below, bottom) to twenty feet long on canvas and it could easily go larger. You can clearly read every letter on the the ferry terminal, distinguish the markings and texture on every stone, I could go on. Perhaps I will do more of these in the future, it is tempting...
