Certificate of Authenticity + Artist's Biography
The Print Art Photography CA Certificate of Authenticity states the artist, title, printmaker, methods, materials, and archival-rating. This piece of documentation assures you / galleries / potential buyers of the quality and authenticity of the print and insurance companies thereby, of its existence.
The Certificate is optional of course, but should be considered an investment, one which in our experience definitely increases the attractiveness of your prints for a potential buyer, making you look more professional and giving your audience the opportunity to get to know you better through the Artist's Biography section.
The top half of the document can be used for biographical information and/or an Artist's Statement. This is where you get to connect with your audience and although we are here to advise, it's important that your personality comes through. If you have a C.V. of art career achievements this is where to let people know, don't be modest! If you are just starting out, it's best to craft a highly personal and passionate statement that will draw people in with the sincerity of your pursuit of your art. If there are stories, anecdotes, etc. attached to the pictures, all the better. Sometimes it's the story that sells the picture!

The validity of the Certificate of Authenticity depends on it being printed by us to accompany a print when it is released. Therefore Certificate Templates are kept on file at Print Art Photography CA and copies of the templates are not available to the artists or any third party.
